What is GSM?

Referring to the density and weight of the fabric, GSM stands for grams per square meter. This number shows how heavy and thick your towels and bathrobes are. A low GSM means the fabric will be lighter and less dense, while a high GSM means it will be heavier and denser for a more thick and plush towel or robe. 

What Does GSM Mean for You?

The GSM is a good indicator of how your towels and robes will feel and absorb. Pay attention to the number when choosing your bath linens so you can get an idea of how the towel will work for you. There are a few features that are affected by the GSM:

Absorbency

A higher GSM absorbs more moisture resulting in a more comfortable dry, while a lower GSM tends to be thinner and less absorbent which means it could take longer to dry off completely.
