Towel Sizes: Learn the Differences

Choosing your bath linens truly comes down to personal preference and your specific needs. It’s important to choose quality towels that are made to keep you comfortable, warm, and dry. That being said, it’s also essential to take into account what each size towel is made for so you can find the linens that match your needs best. Washcloth

Washcloths are most commonly used when washing your face. Because it is in direct contact with your face, which contains some of the most sensitive skin we have, it’s a good idea to invest in a washcloth that is made from quality materials like Egyptian cotton. Soft, chemical-free, absorbent, and durable, Egyptian cotton towels provide a smooth, non-harsh feeling on the skin. Our washcloths are measured at 12” x 12” and are available in packs of two, six, and twelve.

Hand Towel

Probably one of the most popular towels, a hand towel is used, well - for your hands! After every wash, it’s the most ideal size for keeping your hands clean and dry. Many hand towels made from materials like microfiber, polyester, or other synthetic materials actually don’t have the same capacity of absorbency that cotton does. With Egyptian cotton, you get the benefit of a soft, comfortable dry without having to spend lots of time absorbing the water. Our hand towels measure 30” x 20”.

Bath Towel

The other most popular towel size is the bath towel. Used mainly after showers and baths, bath towels are meant to cover most of your body to keep you dry and warm after stepping out of the shower. Because they are usually long enough to stretch out a few feet, bath towels are perfect for wrapping around your body and tucking in for a snug, comfortable fit, allowing your body to dry off quicker. Our bath towels measure 30” x 56”. 

Bath Sheet

Bath sheets are not as common as bath towels, however they are a great alternative or addition if you prefer a towel that is a bit larger. Our bath sheets measure 40” x 70”, providing a larger length and width, perfect for that extra bit of coverage. Perhaps, you can use the bath sheet for your body and bath towel as a hair wrap!
